Cuncolim: The decomposed body of an unidentified male was found inside an electricity operating room behind the Cuncolim Municipality commercial building on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, information was received at around 12.52 pm from Vishal Naik, Supervisor of Cuncolim Municipality, stating that a decomposed dead body was noticed inside the electricity meter room.
Police personnel visited the spot and found the body of a male person, estimated to be between 30 and 50 years of age, in a fully decomposed condition.
The police conducted the scene of unnatural death (UD) occurrence panchanama and inquest panchanama at the site. The body was later shifted and preserved at South District Hospital Margao for further medico-legal formalities.
Further enquiry is being carried out by LPSI Riyanka Naik of Cuncolim Police Station.
