COLVA: Colva police have registered a case of unnatural death after the body of an unidentified man was found washed ashore at Mobor beach. The discovery was reported by the security shift in-charge of St Regis Hotel to the Cavelossim outpost, following which police reached the site. The deceased, estimated to be between 45 and 50 years of age, was found in a decomposed state, having drifted ashore through the water. Police conducted a scene of occurrence and inquest panchanama before shifting the body to South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for preservation, medico-legal examination, and identification. The case has been registered under Colva Police Station U.D. No. 33/2025, Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Varshda Naik Dessai of Colva Police Station.
