PANAJI: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today has assured Minister Mauvin Godinho that the issue of Naval NOC for constructions will be resolved.
Rajnath Singh arrived in Goa today to attended the Goa Maritime Conclave organised by Indian Navy. The Union Minister has also assured Godinho a special meeting will be convened on the issue in Delhi.
“Singh has assured Minister that the issue of Naval NOC for constructions will be resolved and special meeting will be convened on the issue in Delhi,” said Godinho after meeting Singh.
Godinho said that people have to face lot of hardships and problems due to the Naval NoC issue for construction.
The Goa Maritime Conclave kicked off today in Goa where 12 friendly nations from the Indian Ocean Region are working on a common framework to address regional challenges such as drug trafficking, arms smuggling, piracy and disaster relief.
At the GMC-23, Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff, would be hosting chiefs of navies/ heads of maritime forces/senior representatives from 12 Indian Ocean littorals, including Bangladesh, Comoros, Indonesia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
As part of the conclave, visiting delegates would get an opportunity to witness India’s Indigenous shipbuilding industry at the “Make in India”exhibition and witness the indigenous warships as well as the capabilities of the Deep Submergence Rescue Vessal.
