PANAJI: Panaji Police today has arrested a West Bengal native for committing theft of mobile phones and other goods from a company store.
The accused, identified as Utsab Jana (42), was arrested from his residence at Vhodlem Bhat, Taleigao.
The accused was employed as a delivery boy at InstaKart package delivery company and was arrested by Panaji Town police for stealing mobile phones and other electronic items worth around Rs 3 lakh from the company store.
InstaKart representative had filed a complaint with the police that the accused had committed theft of 30 shipments from their storeroom.
Acting on the complaint, the accused was arrested, and 12 mobile phones of various brands, 2 smart watches and a trimmer were seized from him.
