Sankhali: Unanimous demand to pass a stringent ‘Love Jihad’ Prohibition Law during the upcoming winter session of the Goa Legislative Assembly was raised at a Hindu Women’s Organisations Meet organised by Ranaragini, the women’s wing of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, at the Sakhali Municipal Hall on Saturday evening.
The winter session of the Goa Legislative Assembly is scheduled to commence on January 12.

Sakhali Municipal Chairperson Siddhi Prabhu highlighted the role of parents in inculcating good values in children and maintaining open communication to guide them effectively.
Ranaragini representative Rajashri Gadekar spoke on the alleged social impact of Love Jihad, while Govind Chodankar urged citizens to personally meet their local MLAs to press for the enactment of the law during the winter session.
Former Sakhali Municipal Chairperson Rashmi Desai, former Zilla Panchayat member Shubhada Sawaikar, Harvalem Panchayat Sarpanch Pratiksha Naik, and several other representatives were present at the meet.
