PANAJI: The Masters Table Tennis Champions League (MTTCL) 5.0 has reached its knockout stage after an intense round of league matches that showcased exceptional skill and teamwork. Dempo Royals, S.S. Caterers, Saxtti Sports and Cultural Club, and U.K. Ultra advanced from Group A, while Suzuki B.N. Thakur, M&S Titans, Tuff Security, and Royal Ruby secured their places from Group B. The eight top-performing teams will now battle it out in the quarterfinals, with each encounter expected to deliver thrilling rallies and high-stakes competition.
Organised by Peddem Sports Club in association with the Goa Table Tennis Association, the tournament has drawn some of the state’s finest players, combining experience and emerging talent. The fifth edition continues to build on the league’s reputation for promoting competitive and entertaining table tennis in Goa.
The championship was inaugurated in a lively ceremony attended by dignitaries including Glen Ticlo, former MLA of Aldona Constituency, Prajal Sakhardande, historian, Edwin Menezes, Vice President of the Goa Table Tennis Association, Kabir Pinto Makhija, Executive Committee Member of GTTA, Manoj Sardessai, owner of Diya Enterprises, and Mayur Sawkar, President of Peddem Sports Club.
With the knockout rounds set to begin, excitement is running high among players and fans alike. As the competition intensifies, all eyes will be on the top contenders to see who can maintain their winning form and capture the MTTCL 5.0 title.
