BAMBOLIM: A final-year student of Goa Dental College and Hospital has been booked for allegedly trespassing into the girls’ hostel and attempting to record videos of female students while they were bathing.
The incident reportedly occurred at the institute’s Bambolim campus.
An FIR has been registered at the Agacaim police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police sources confirmed that the student unlawfully entered the premises and was caught attempting to film female hostel residents in a private setting.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the full extent of the violation and determine whether any footage was recorded or shared.
Authorities are also reviewing hostel security measures following the incident.
College officials have yet to issue a formal statement, but sources indicated that disciplinary proceedings may follow depending on the outcome of the police inquiry
