MAPUSA: Gokak-Karnataka native Boresh Pujari, 39, of Xeldem-Quepem, passed away on Tuesday night in Calangute from a heart attack.
Pujari, a resident of Calangute who ran a spa, was one of the suspects in the murder of Ahmed Devadi. He felt ill and was brought to Candolim’s local health center, where he was pronounced dead.
His remains was turned over to his family on Wednesday after an autopsy at GMC determined that he had died of a heart attack. On May 30, 2024, Mapusa resident Ahmed Devadi, 30, passed away from wounds sustained in an incident that resulted from a personal argument.
Following several raids, Ramkrishna Bhalekar, the main suspect, was captured in Maharashtra. Pujari was among several others who were taken into custody. While eight suspects are still being held, Pujari was released on bond.
Court processes are ongoing, and the police have filed a chargesheet. After receiving assurances from the police, Devadi’s family decided to receive his body after originally refusing it.
