Madkai MLA Sudin Dhavalikar on Sunday said that People of Ponda are not opposing ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฅ per se, ๐๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ก๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ even as the Health Minister Vishawajit Rane said that a floor will be dedicated for Ante-Natal, Neo-Natal & Post Natal COVID patients.
โHon. CM, kindly do not make politics on my statement to cover up the failures of government. I have been telling to set up new Covid hospital since long time! What was govt doing that time?โ Dhavalikar said in his social media posts.
He said that the Ponda Sub-district hospital caters daily to hundreds of patients including poor patients from Ponda taluka along with people from neighbouring talukas including Dharbandora and part of Sattari including from Pali panchayat in your constituency who cannot afford treatment in private hospitals and cannot afford to travel to GMC.

Meanwhile, health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that within 2 days, a dedicated floor will be assigned for all Ante-Natal, Neo-Natal & Post Natal COVID patients at Sub-District Hospital-Ponda which will be jointly managed by GMC & DHS.
โOur team is working towards commissioning all the facilities at the new South Goa District Hospital. Once all the facilities are in place within 10 days as committed by GSIDC, we shall be shifting all the activities of Old Hospicio to new South Goa District Hospital. Post which, Old Hospicio will be dedicated to managing all Ante-natal & Post-Natal COVID patients,โ he said.
