BAINA: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Virsha Sharma assured that the police are actively working on the Baina armed dacoity case and will soon identify the suspects involved in the violent attack on the Nayak family.
“We are working on the Baina dacoity case; give us some time, the suspect will be identified,” Sharma said, adding that the police had successfully cracked the previous two dacoity cases as well. “We are doing our best to solve this case, and we will do it. I am taking this as a challenge,” she asserted.
The shocking incident, in which 7–8 masked assailants broke into a flat in the early hours, assaulted family members and escaped with cash, gold and silver, has triggered widespread concern over security in the area.
Police teams are currently scanning CCTV footage, analysing leads, and coordinating with intelligence units as part of the investigation.
