MARGAO: A Ghodkem-Balli resident was the subject of an Arms Act violation reported to the Cuncolim police.
In-charge of Cuncolim Police Station PI Diego Gracias said that the Indian Arms Act’s provision 3 read in conjunction with section 25 has been used by the police to record the violation.
He added that the 56-year-old was discovered in possession of a disassembled, unmade firearm manufactured in the nation and that the individual did not have a legitimate arms license from a recognized body.
The authorities are looking into how the individual from Balli came into possession of the disassembled firearm.
