Panaji: Collector of Kushavati District, Egna Cleetus, IAS, chaired the first meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) to deliberate on claims received under the Forest Rights Act, 2006 from the Sub-Divisional Level Committee of Sanguem Taluka.
During the meeting, a total of 37 claims from Bhati, Portem, Naiquinim and Villian villages of Sanguem Taluka were taken up for consideration and decision by the Committee.
The meeting marked an important step in the process of examining and disposing of forest rights claims in accordance with the provisions of the Forest Rights Act, 2006.
