PANAJI: The Goa Pavilion at the 28th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 concluded on a high note, drawing strong interest from visitors, industry leaders and international delegates during the three-day event held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).
Over 500 attendees visited the pavilion set up by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, engaging with the State’s digital initiatives, technology projects and fast-growing startup ecosystem. The delegation representing Goa included Dr. Milind Sakhardande, Joint Director, DITE&C; Shri Subrai Nadkarni, Chief Engineer, GITDC; Shri Siddharth Borker, Deputy Director, DITE&C; Shri Gaurabh Sawal, Assistant Director, DITE&C; and Shri D. S. Prashant, CEO, Startup and IT Promotion Cell.
The pavilion attracted significant international attention, with delegates from the UK, Russia, Denmark, Canada and Sweden exploring Goa’s digital capabilities. A highlight was the visit of Mr. Joel Stafford, Consulate General of Denmark in Bangalore, who interacted with the officials and took keen interest in the State’s digital programmes, infrastructure strengths and expanding innovation landscape.
Global industry leaders also evaluated Goa as a potential centre for future expansion. Nicolas Wojnarowski, Director of Innovation and Business Development (Europe & Americas), NineSigma, remarked:
“We operate in different cities in India, such as Bengaluru and Chennai, but Goa could become a hub for expanding our activities. We are developing large co-operations in science and technology, and we believe Goa could be the best place to move forward.”
National industry bodies, academic institutions and ecosystem enablers—including TiE Bangalore, KLE, ELCIA and IDFC—also visited the pavilion, exploring avenues for collaboration. Ms. Rama N. S., CEO of ELCITA and Advisor to ELCIA, shared her appreciation:
“I met the team from Goa in April, and they had high aspirations for developing Goa as an electronic city focused on growth. Seeing the stall today, I can say they have taken real action and not just spoken about it.”
The pavilion drew interest from several Indian states as well, with visitors examining Goa’s digital connectivity model, governance initiatives, industrial projects and its positioning as a creative, tech-friendly environment. Notably, the youth formed the most engaged segment of visitors, demonstrating Goa’s growing appeal among young innovators and startup enthusiasts.
Goa-based startups Spintly and Genora Infotech showcased their products, drawing steady engagement.
Malcolm D’Souza, Co-founder & CTO, Spintly, said:
“It’s a great initiative by the Goa Government to have a booth at this event. Platforms like this expose us to the world, and it shows that Goa is not only about tourism—there is a vibrant tech ecosystem here.”
Milind Prabhu, CEO, Genora Infotech, added:
“It was great to see initiatives from the Dept of ITE&C and the Startup & IT Promotion Cell showcased at the summit. I was fortunate to represent the state with our political campaign management platform, VoxIntel.”
As the summit concludes, DITE&C Goa carries forward fresh connections, potential partnerships and renewed visibility—strengthening Goa’s position as India’s Creative Capital and an emerging hub for technology, innovation and digital enterprise.
