PANAJI: The Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, held its 10th Expert Committee Meeting to evaluate fresh applications under the Startup Seed Fund Grant Scheme at its Conference Hall in Altinho–Panaji on November 25. Early-stage ventures from diverse sectors—including IT, AI/ML, healthcare, edtech, agritech, clean energy, fisheries, waste management, sports innovation, personal finance, media solutions, and aerospace & defence—presented their proposals for seed capital support.
The committee conducted a rigorous assessment, examining innovation value, technical feasibility, scalability and prototype readiness, while several founders showcased solutions built and tested in Goa, underscoring growing confidence in the state’s startup ecosystem. Many of the proposals targeted real-world challenges such as digital accessibility, food logistics, clean energy, fisheries management and smart construction.
The Seed Fund Grant Scheme, a key component of the Goa Startup Policy, offers one-time financial assistance of up to ₹10 lakh to startups that have developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), enabling them to refine and scale their solutions. With more founders choosing Goa as a base to develop and validate products, the state continues to bolster its innovation ecosystem through sustained funding support and entrepreneurship-focused initiatives.
