CANACONA: Diya Organization felicitated 18 Women from all walks of Life as a tribute to their to hard work, passion and dedicated service to the society at large.
President of Diya Organization Edwin Fernandes welcomed the gathering.
The Chief Guest Mrs. Dipali Sawal, ex Chairperson of Margao Municipal Council, in her address explained the importance of Women and also thanked Diya Organizatiopn for all the good work they do with Para Athletes and Athletes with Autism.
The Guest of Honour Mrs. Juliet Vaz, explained the importance of Women through her Konkanni Poem while Mrs. Stella Fernandes, a teacher by profession, explained the importance of Men in women’s lives.
Mrs. Ashwini Pai Dukle, said that as a women entrepreneur Women need to have courage and work towards their goal and said she was very happy for Diya Organization, who are doing wonderful work for the society.
Ms. Sakshi I.Kale, Para Athlete was also felicitated by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries and President Edwin Fernandes, Secretary Camilo Gomes and Treasurer Sandeep Naik handed over a Cheque of Rs. 30,000 to Ms. Sakshi, to help her in her next Para Championship to be held at Benguluru.

Reema Borkar (Special Educator), Mrs. Libya Fernandes (Special Educator), Mrs. Magdalena Fernandes (Special Educator), Smt. Sonali Shetty (Teacher), Smt. Apeksha Kandekar (Teacher), Smt. Snehlata Manjrekar (Teacher), Mrs. Marianinha Barreto (Teacher), Smt. Ashwini Pai Dukle (Entrepreneur), Mrs. Catarina Luis e De Souza, Mrs. Bella Fernandes, Ms. Sakshi I.Kale (Para Athlete), Smt. Sajella Hansbhavi Shaikh (Balavadi Teacher), Smt. Sandhya Mayekar, (Balvadi Attendant), Ms. Bianca Steffi Fernandes (talented Stage Artist), and Ms. Kalpita Naik (Multi talented Sportsperson)
Later Camilo Gomes proposed the Vote of Thanks. The function was compered by Jasmine Dias.
