PANAJI: Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre (DMC) Signed MoU with The Goa State Biodiversity Board on 10th November 2021.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Pradip Sarmokadam, Member secretary, Goa State Biodiversity Board and Prof. Dilip Arolkar, Principal, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s
College and Research Centre, Assagao , Bardez- Goa in presence of Nilesh Cabral , Minister for Environment , Government of Goa.
Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre is a premier higher Education Institution in Goa offering wide range of courses from B.A. B.Sc,
B.Com. B.B.A., B.C.A., M.Com, M.Sc. ( Organic and Pharmaceutical) , M.Sc. Environmental Science and Ph.D. in Commerce and Chemistry. M.Sc.
Environmental Science is an innovative programme started by Colleges linking Higher Education to the needs of the community and environmental issues.
The collaboration will help the students for training, Internship and Research with Board.
The main objective of the collaboration is to create scientific awareness about Various initiatives of the Goa State Biodiversity Board among the people of Goa,
to organise State, National and International Seminars and Conferences linking Higher Education to the needs of Community. College will also assist Goa State Biodiversity Board in conducting various awareness drives, Rallies, Street Plays Economic Evaluation Projects, Environment Impact Assessment and any other
Activities for protection and Conservation of Environment and Biodiversity in Goa.
It will also help the faculty members for collaborative research on various Environmental problems. Dr. Rajesh Pednekar, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry and Co-ordinator for M.Sc. Environmental Science was also present during the event.
