PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today urged hospitals and dispensaries in villages across the state to avoid disposing of medical waste along with the regular waste.
“Avoid disposing of medical waste along with the regular waste. The medical waste must be disposed of as biomedical waste: CM Pramod Sawant to Villager Hospitals & Dispensaries,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that saloon waste and wastage remains from Chicken and Mutton shops, too, must be disposed of as biomedical waste to promote the Swachh Panchayat initiative.
Interacting with Panch Members from Panchayat across the state, CM Sawant said that they should start thinking about new project proposals and initiatives.
“Sarkar Tumchya Dari program to resume from November. Mantri Tumchya Dari program to complete rest of the constituencies after 2 months,” he added.
Sawant said that Goa State Scheduled Tribe Finance Corporation Ltd. is carrying out the procedure to register the Tribal Research Institute proposed at Sanguem.
“Took a review of the process and proposed projects under the Tribal Research Institute and directed the officials to pace up the process to establish and start operation of the Institute,” CM said.
