CALANGUTE: Calangute Police have registered Crime No. 160/2025 under Sections 125(a) and 291 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, following a complaint filed by 23-year-old Girish Dasanastti, a resident of Baman Waddo, Candolim.
The offence was registered on November 15, 2025, at 7:15 pm.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred earlier the same day at around 8:30 am at Baman Waddo, when accused Eshita Katyal, 52, a resident of Agyada Holiday Homes, Candolim, and employed as a Dog Squad Manager with Drishti Life Saving, allegedly allowed her pet dog to roam freely.
The complainant stated that due to this negligent act, the dog ran toward his mother and bit her on the calf, causing injuries and endangering her safety.
Police have issued a notice to the accused under Section 35 of the BNSS. Further investigation is currently underway.
