Mapusa: A viral video showing a dog damaging a car has unexpectedly helped resolve a months-old search, after the animal was identified as Chiku, a pet missing from Shetye Wado in Mapusa since January 2025.
The video, widely circulated on social media, drew the attention of Chiku’s family. They immediately recognised the dog’s behaviour and confirmed that the animal in the footage was their long-lost pet. The family said they had been searching across Goa for several months but had found no trace of him until the video surfaced.
They have now appealed to the public for help in tracking down Chiku. Anyone who spots the dog is requested to share the exact location with the family so they can finally reunite with him.
