PANAJI: The B.A. Psychology Department at Don Bosco College, Panaji, hosted “Psyrenity – A Celebration of Mental Health Awareness” on 13th October from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., focusing on fostering positivity, emotional well-being, and self-expression through an array of interactive activities and engaging stalls.
Attendees enjoyed a variety of creative and therapeutic experiences, including “Pop Your Insecurities,” “Compliment Booth,” “Knock Out the Negativity,” “Express to Destress,” and the energetic “Positivity Parade.” Each activity encouraged participants to reflect on mental health in enjoyable yet meaningful ways. A special fundraising initiative, “Mood Foods,” added a unique touch by exploring the connection between food and emotions.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Director Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Principal Dr. Cedric Silveira, and Dr. Vijay Viegas, Head of the Psychology Department, alongside College Counsellor Ms. Grebian Alemao, Faculty Coordinator Ms. Nerissa Zuzarte, and Assistant Professors Ms. Andrea D’Souza and Ms. Tabitha Nunes. Students from all three years of the B.A. Psychology program enthusiastically contributed to making the festival a success.
Psyrenity saw active participation from students and faculty across various departments, serving as a lively reminder of the importance of mental health and demonstrating how small gestures of positivity, kindness, and self-care can significantly benefit both individuals and the wider community.
