Panjim: Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda booked their place in the quarterfinals of the 14th Our Lady of Fatima Cup 2025, organised by Dicarpale Sports Club, after defeating Nuvem Sports Club 7-6 via the tiebreaker at the Dicarpale ground.
Nuvem SC drew first blood in the 9th minute through Ivo Colaco, before Hanshlum Furtado netted the equaliser for Don Bosco in the 70th minute, taking the match to a 1-1 draw at full time.
In the ensuing tiebreaker, Don Bosco’s Hanshlum Furtado, Velito Miranda, Milson Barreto, Edger Noronha, Alfred Noronha and Charles Miranda all converted their spot kicks. For Nuvem, Albinho Pereira, Melvin Fernandes, Shenoy Colaco, Frazer Miranda and Ivo Colaco were on target, but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat.
Albinho Pereira of Nuvem Sports Club was adjudged Man of the Match and received the award at the hands of Francisco Carvalho.
