PANAJI: Ahead of the Goa Assembly election, Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal today appealed to the people of Goa “not to divide votes” and to vote for Aam Aadmi Party.
“I urge all the voters of BJP and Congress to vote for AAP; I also request the people of Goa not to divide votes and to vote for Aam Aadmi Party,” said Kejriwal.
He further said that he is not telling BJP workers to leave the party but give one chance to AAP and vote for us.
“BJP has not done anything for its workers; it has only protected Congress leaders’ scams. On the other hand, Congress has become a ‘feeder cadre’. I appeal to Congress workers also to give a chance to AAP and vote for the broom for the sake of the future of your children,” he said.
Kejriwal further said that BJP and Congress have “no vision” for Goa. He also asked the workers of other parties not to leave their parties but to vote for the AAP for “the sake of their children”.
“Every citizen would get the “benefit of Rs 10 lakh” over the next five years if his party is voted to power in the state,” he added.
He said that AAP will distribute signed copies of this affidavit to earn the public’s trust, and copies of this affidavit will be sent to each household in Goa by AAP candidates.
“This affidavit is an assurance to the people that if the candidate falters and is dishonest in their work, they can file a case against the candidate,” he added.
Delhi CM said that “we have witnessed politicians contesting from other parties in the past few elections and defecting to BJP after winning.
This is pure cheating, and voters are being betrayed – because the politicians earn their votes in the name of a party in which the public places its trust and then by switching parties, they sell the votes of the people.”
“The two major problems in the way Goa has been governed are – One, there is flagrant corruption. Goa’s government is one of the richest state governments in the country. Despite this, the people of Goa are deprived of basic amenities, the list of public grievances is endless because all the money goes into the pockets of politicians – gets stolen from the people of Goa. Two, the major problem of defection,” Kejriwal said
