Visibly upset over the Opposition’s constant criticism of the COVID19 management, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday said the people of the State are with him and he does not need a certificate from the Opposition benches for good work.
In his statement on COVID19 pandemic, Sawant said that the government is giving its best in controlling COVID19 in the State.
“I don’t think my government has failed anywhere, it has absolutely good job. We do not need certificate from Opposition,” he said.
Substantiating his claim, Sawant said that the work of the government, health staff and the police as well as others speaks volumes.
“The mortality rate 0.7 p.c is the lowest in the country while the testing rate is the highest. This speaks volumes of our work,” he said.
Stating the government machinery is working 24×7, he also charged that the Opposition leaders were sitting at home and recorning videos to criticize government.
He also had a piece of advise for people in controlling COVID19 mortalities.
“It is hocking that the people do not come for testing despite symptoms for five days,” he said adding “the need is to test as soon as you find any symptoms.”
