CALANGUTE: Following the recent violent assault on several locals by bouncers, SP (North) Akshat Kaushal and top police officers met to coordinate with the proprietors of clubs and restaurants located in Tito’s Lane, Baga.
“Basically, it was a coordination meeting to discuss any security-related issues they may have to make sure that there are no untoward happenings in this region. We have informed them that nobody ought to become an advocate for the law. Since the tourism season is only getting started, we want to make sure that everyone visiting Goa has a relaxing experience, according to SP Kaushal.
The meeting was attended by about twenty club owners and managers, PI Rahul Parab, and SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe.
The Noise Pollution Act was to be followed, and club managers and owners were instructed not to play loud music beyond a certain amount of time.
In order to provide a secure and comfortable environment for visitors visiting Goa, they were also asked to instruct their workers on how to deal with tourists visiting their site properly and not to mess with them.
They were instructed to turn in verification documents for every employee employed by their establishment, to improve CCTV coverage of the entire property, to forbid illicit activity on their property, and to notify the police right away if they saw anyone engaging in such activity.
