PANAJI: Congress leader and former deputy chief minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot on Wednesday alleged that BJP’s double engine delivery in Goa is zero. “Congress is forming a government in the full majority.” He said.
He was addressing a press conference in Panaji. On occasion, Goa Incharge Dinesh Gundu Rao, Amarnath Panjikar, Sunil Kawathnkar, Naushad Chowdhari, and Swati Kerkar were present.
Meanwhile, former TMC leader Swati Kerkar joined the Congress.
“Many political parties are contesting this assembly election. However, their motive to divide the votes of Congress will not bear fruits. We are heading towards a clear majority in Goa. Our government will be transparent and will deliver whatever is promised.” Sachin Pilot said.
“Congress party stands with people of Goa on all issues and for the state’s future. Young people are looking for opportunity and growth and a sustainable ecosystem where they and their family get a better life.” He said.
He said that the Congress party will get thumping majorities in Uttarakhand and also in Punjab. “Even in Goa will get a majority as new faces are contesting and people are supporting us.” He said.
“BJP promised to double the income of farmers and reduce fuel prices. But they failed to handle the economy and also during COVID times they failed.” He said.
He said that the BJP failed to restart mining. “Many people have lost their jobs due to suspension of mining.” He said.
He said that BJP also intends to implement three linear projects to help crony capitalist friends of BJP top leaders.
“People of Goa didn’t benefit from the double engine. They have not come up with conclusive and decisive action. Their delivery is zero on the ground.” He said.
Swati Kerkar said that there was no freedom for her in TMC; she resigned and returned to the Congress party. “I had to work on commands of IPAC, which was unacceptable for a person like me.” She said.
Citing an example of Kerkar, Amarnath Panjikar appealed to the former supporters of Congress to rejoin the party for the betterment of Goa.
