Poriem: Poriem MLA Dr. Deviya Rane laid the foundation stone for two important development projects aimed at strengthening safety, education, and community infrastructure in the villages of Mauxi and Zarme.
In Mauxi Panchayat, Dr. Rane laid the foundation stone for the construction of a protection wall from Devgo Gaonkar’s house to Laxman Gaonkar’s house. The project will help protect local homes and families, particularly during the monsoon season, by providing greater structural stability and safeguarding against soil erosion.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Rane said, “Such works strengthen the very foundation of our villages. Development is most meaningful when it protects lives, strengthens communities, and nurtures the spirit of togetherness that defines Poriem.”
Later, in Zarme, Dr. Rane laid the foundation stone for the development of the Government Village School Playground under the MLA LAD Scheme. The project, to be executed by M/s Rajesh Constructions, includes the construction of a stage with an attached room, toilet facilities, sitting platform, chain-link fencing with a base wall, and fresh painting work.
Dr. Rane said the upgraded playground would create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for children to learn, play, and grow.
“Every such initiative reflects our commitment to nurturing young minds and building strong foundations — not just for our schools, but for the future of Poriem,” Dr. Rane added.
