TALEIGAO: Dr. Sunder Dhuri, the vice dean of Goa University’s School of Chemical Sciences, has been named the university’s new registrar.
After former registrar VS Nadkarni wrote to Chancellor Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai to beg his release from the position for personal reasons, the position fell vacant.
After Y V Reddy, the registrar at the time, resigned in September 2020, Nadkarni assumed leadership in November 2021.
Dr. Sunder Dhuri, the academic vice dean of the School of Chemical Sciences, was a native of Sattari taluka.
GU issued a call for applications for the position of registrar on November 15, 2024.
The Selection Committee, led by Vice Chancellor Harilal Menon, chose Dr. Dhuri.
