PANJIM: Disability Rights Association of Goa (DRAG) has taken strong objection to the Panjim Urban Health centre not being accessible to persons with disability and elderly even after 25 years of the Persons with disability Act 1995.
Taking cognizance of a complaint from a person with disability DRAG President Avelino de Sa visited the centre and expressed shock that the accessibility was not provided even when the temporary shelter was constructed at the Panjim Urban Health Centre.
DRAG has demanded that the all urban and rural health centers across the state be made accessible for persons with disability with immediate effect and in the interim to work a temporary solution for the treatment of persons with disability and elderly who visit the health centers.
