ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have registered an offence against a 22-year-old driver for allegedly driving a vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and taking it into the sea at Vagator beach, endangering human life.
According to police, the offence was registered on March 22, 2026 at 17:06 hrs vide Anjuna Police Station Crime No. 20/2026 under Sections 281 and 125 of the BNS, Rule 51 of CMVR read with Section 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act, based on a state complaint filed by HC Sandeep Pednekar attached to Anjuna Police Station.
Police said that at around 9:00 am on March 22, near Estoria Restaurant at Vagator beach, the accused, identified as Arjun Singh Rawat (22), originally from Manadunga Digalichour, Champawat, Uttarakhand, was driving a black Toyota Fortuner bearing registration number GJ-01-WY-0090 in a rash and negligent manner.
He allegedly drove the vehicle onto the beach and further into the sea water, thereby endangering human life.
Anjuna Police have registered the case and further investigation is in progress.
