PANAJI: Panaji Police have registered a case against a driver from Maharashtra for allegedly misappropriating his employer’s vehicle and cash amounting to nearly ₹1.85 lakh.
According to police, complainant Bhuva Ravi Kumar (35), resident of Taleigao, reported that on September 12, 2025, his driver, identified as Firoz Ashraf Ali Khan, resident of Sangli (Maharashtra), was entrusted with his white Skoda car (MH-01-AV-9765) near the RTO office in Panaji. The vehicle contained approximately ₹1.50 lakh in value and ₹35,000 in cash kept in the glove box.
Police said the accused allegedly misappropriated the car and the money for his own use, thereby committing criminal breach of trust.
Based on the complaint, Panaji Police registered Crime No. 126/2025 under Section 316(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is being carried out by PSI Mahadev Pednekar.
