KORGAO: A dry tree collapsed late last night at Chariwada in Korgao, damaging a streetlight pole and two electricity poles, leading to a power outage that lasted for nearly three hours.
Local panchayat member Umesh Chari immediately informed the fire brigade and the electricity department. Both teams responded promptly and were on site through the night. Restoration work continued into the following morning.
Speaking on the incident, Chari urged residents to cooperate with local authorities by granting permission to cut down any visibly dangerous trees in their surroundings. “We can save lives and prevent property damage if we act in time,” he said.
