VASCO: Former Minister and NCP State President Jose Philip D’Souza warned the State government against framing Jetty policy 2022 without taking stakeholders into confidence.
D’Souza, who is also the All Goa Fishing boat owners association president, speaking to reporters on Jetty Policy 2022, demanded the draft be printed innGoa Gazette.
“Government must also use social media to publicise the Policy. The authorities have to translate the Policy into the Official Language of Goa and upload it on the concerned official website or the Government website,” he said.
He stated that the186 newly elected Village Panchayats and Gram Sabhas need to discuss the Policy, for which time is required.
“The time given of 15 days is too short, so the authorities must extend the time by 30 days from the date the translated Policy is uploaded on the website. The rules must also remove the limit of 500 words to submit Objections/Views/Suggestions,” said D’Souza.
