QUEPEM: Dugged up road IN multiple places in Xeldem, Quepem, Tilamol seems headache to the locals and commuters.
Local AAP leader from Curchorem James Fernandes said that this is totally negligence and irresponsible things going on these days. Even as per the collector’s order it has mentioned that digging work should not take place after May 31 but this order is neglected by some departments and the digging work continues.
Gabriel Fernandes said potholes and digging work on the road side is the main problem faced by the commuters especially two wheelers. Today we can notice that in monsoon season too digging work is ongoing without permission and against the order of collectors, and it is because of negligence and carelessness by the govt department.
Assistant engineer PWD roads Sharadchandra Verekar immediately reached the spot where digging of road was ongoing and ordered them to stop the work. When asked him that digging work of the road, A.E said that no permission was granted for the digging of the road.
