CALANGUTE: Crime Branch has arrested two accused on charges of trafficking and pushing three girls from their native state of West Bengal into prostitution in Goa.
The raid was conducted in a parking area of a hotel at Calangute early this morning.
According to the police, the accused are identified as 38-year-old Deepak Sarkar from Kolkata and 42-year-old Ranjita D’çosta from West Bengal. The accused supplied victim girls to decoy customers for sexual activities and thereby living on the earning of prostitution through organized prostitution racket in the public vicinity.A case has been filed U/s 370 (3) r/w 34 IPC and 4, 5 and 7 of ITP act.
The three vitim girls have been identified as Rina Acharya d/o Gurupada Bhunia, age- 38 years, r/o H. No. A/126 Anandpally East Bansdroni, South Twenty Four Parganas, West Bengal 700070, Pooja Mondol d/o Bhola Nath Mondol, age- 20 years, r/o H. No. 30 B, VIP Nagar Martin Para, Kolkata, West Bengal, 700100. Sandhya Das d/o Swapan Das, age 26 years, r/o H. No. 78 Chetla Road, Alipore, H.O. Alipore, Kolkata West Bengal 700027,
