PANAJI: Goa is expected to be the first Indian state to introduce the Foundation. One test, a crucial phase in cancer early detection, and the enhancement of cancer therapy guidelines. Minister Rane emphasized how the test can assist physicians in determining the most appropriate
therapy plans for specific patients.
Furthermore, Rane disclosed that the Health Department is currently leasing IStat machines to all 213 Goan health centers. Results from these portable blood testing instruments are available in a matter of minutes, enabling more effective healthcare delivery.
Rane added that government blood test facilities have been directed to regularly run thyroid and cancer marker tests, allowing the Health Department to develop a state-wide comprehensive cancer database.
“Families are devastated by cancer. Our objective is to provide solace and raise the standard of living for Goan residents,” he stated.
