PANAJI: The 405th Board Meeting of EDC Limited was chaired today by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, wherein the Board approved the Consolidated Accounts for the Financial Year 2024-25.
According to the approved accounts, EDC registered a revenue of ₹137 crore and expenses of ₹60 crore, resulting in a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₹77 crore for the financial year.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said, “EDC has consistently played a vital role in strengthening Goa’s financial ecosystem. Its contribution towards promoting entrepreneurship, extending financial assistance, and supporting key sectors has been instrumental in driving the State’s economic growth.”
He further emphasized that the Government remains committed to supporting institutions like EDC to empower local entrepreneurs and encourage investments that generate employment opportunities in Goa.
EDC Limited, the State’s premier financial institution, has been at the forefront of providing financial assistance to small and medium enterprises, infrastructure projects, and self-employment ventures, thereby significantly contributing to Goa’s development trajectory.
