Following one COVID19 positive case in the department, the Education director has asked the aided schools, High School/ Higher Secondary Schools to pay salaries from their own funds for the coming month as all staff of salary department are in quarantine.
The order issued by the Director Vandana Rao says “All the Heads of the Management of Aided Primary/Special /High School/ Higher Secondary Schools are hereby enjoined upon disburse the salary of their respective staff members for the current month from their own funds as per the rule 62 of Go Daman and Diu school Education Act 1964 and Rules 1986.”
It further says that the arrangement have been done temporarily under inevitable circumstances rot to hamper the salary disbursement of staff, since one of the staff members have been tested positive for COVID 19 and others who are working in GIA and GIA II sections which handles the work of processing the salary bills have been under home quarantine as per the advice of the doctor
