CAVELOSSIM: An unnatural death case has been registered following the death of a 78-year-old British national at a homestay in Mobor, Cavelossim.
According to police, at around 11.27 pm on December 21, 2025, Colva Police received information from the Cavelossim Police Outpost that a woman was found lying unresponsive on a bed at Fernandes Home Stay Guest House, Khandi, Mobor, Cavelossim.
On receiving the information, police alerted the 108 ambulance service. The ambulance staff examined the woman and declared her dead. The deceased was later identified as Ann Stone (78), a British citizen, who was staying at the said guest house.
Police conducted a scene of occurrence panchanama, following which the body was shifted to the District Hospital, Margao, for further medico-legal formalities.
Further enquiry in the matter is being carried out by LPSI Raksha Naik of Colva Police Station.
