SALIGAO: An 84-year-old man was found dead inside the bathroom of a villa at Pilerne in Bardez on Thursday, prompting an investigation by Saligao police.
According to police, Saligao Police Station received a call from a person identified as John, informing that one Michael John Burza (84) was found lying inside the bathroom of Villa No. 6 at Urbania, near Gautam Hotel, Pilerne, Bardez, and appeared to be dead.
Following the information, PSI Sarvesh Bhandari informed the Police Inspector of Saligao Police Station and proceeded to the spot along with staff and an investigation kit. Upon reaching the villa, the caretaker, John, led the police team inside, where they found the elderly man lying unconscious in the bathroom.
PI Milind Bhuimber of Saligao Police Station was present at the scene. Emergency services from 108 were called, and the medical staff confirmed that the person had no pulse and was declared dead at the spot.
Police have stated that further investigation is in progress to ascertain the cause of death. The inquiry is being conducted by PSI Sarvesh Bhandari of Saligao Police Station.
