DABOLIM: A 63-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in the Umiya Building, Dabolim.
The deceased has been identified as Krishna Hargi.
According to police sources, the Vasco police received a call alerting them that Hargi had locked himself inside his bedroom.
A police team rushed to the site and, with the help of local residents, forcibly opened the locked door. Hargi was found unresponsive inside the room.
Authorities conducted a panchanama at the scene, and the body was sent to the South Goa District Hospital in Margao for medico-legal examination.
Vasco police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and further investigation is in progress
