PANJIM: The elections for the post of Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Chairperson and Deputy would be held on January 08, 2021.
As per information, the South Goa Chairperson post and North deputy post is reserved for women. The term will be for five years.
BJP, who won both ZP with clear majority, will take a call on the new chairperson and deputy, shortly.
The elections in 50 zilla panchayat constituencies were held on December 12 in which a total of 1,237 polling booths were set up for the elections, in which 203 candidates were in the fray.
