Vasco da Gama: The Office of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), 26–Dabolim Assembly Constituency, has issued a clarification regarding the enumeration form of Member of Parliament Captain Viriato Hipolito Mendonca Fernandes during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls.
According to the clarification, the Booth Level Officer (BLO) of Part No. 19 collected the enumeration form pertaining to the MP during the SIR process. However, it was observed that the form did not contain mandatory details from the previous SIR, including the Assembly Constituency number, Part number and Serial number in the electoral roll.
Due to the absence of these essential particulars, the system was unable to automatically link the enumeration form with the existing electoral roll record. Consequently, the form was placed under the “unmapped” category, following which a hearing notice was generated and issued automatically as per the prescribed procedure.
Officials have clarified that the matter is presently under inquiry.
The clarification was issued on January 8, 2026, by the Joint Mamlatdar-III, Mormugao Taluka and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer, 26–Dabolim Assembly Constituency, Vasco da Gama, Goa.
