PANAJI: The Entertainment Society of Goa has warned of strict action if any illegal film shooting in Goa.
The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) says it is the nodal agency for the issue of permissions for film shooting in the State through its registered Line Producers.
The said permissions from the ESG is a necessary requirement to undertake film shooting both in public and private locations.
Further, the ESG has suspended film shooting w.e.f. 6th May 2021 due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the State and therefore, all the permissions that had been issued for the month of May 2021 stand suspended.
However, it has been brought to the notice of ESG office that film shooting is being undertaken at various private locations in the State during this suspension period which is deemed to be illegal.
“It is hereby instructed to all concerned that undertaking film shooting in the State at present is strictly against the law.
Anyone who comes across such illegal activities may bring the same to the attention of the local police station for further necessary action,” said ESG press release..
