PORVORIM: Revenue Minister Atanasio Monserrate, today announced that a new 150-bedded super-speciality hospital will be built at Mulgao in Bicholim by the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) over the next two years.
Monserrate said, actual work on the hospital will begin on land which has been provided by the Goa Housing Board.
The 150-bedded hospital at Mulgao, Bicholim will take approximately two years to be ready, Monserrate said, while speaking to the media after attending the ESI Corporation’s Regional Board meeting.
“The project is in planning stage, the land is about 20,000 sq MTS land,” he added.
ESI will take on board a biomedical engineer to oversee the planning, procurement and installation of the medical equipment of the hospital project, he added.
