PANAJI: Additional Chief Electoral Officer (CEC) has informed all the political parties that the inspection of EVM’s and VVPAT machines that arrived in Goa yesterday will be tested from October 26.
The CEC Goa had called for an all-party meeting today to inform them about the various developments taking place in regards to Elections in Goa.
The CEC has said that the Publication of draft role will begin from November 1, filing of claims and objections on November 1 to 30, special Campaign BLO will be available at police stations – Nov 20,21, 27, 28, disposal of shares for December 20 while the final Publication of the role will be done on January 5, 2022
Additional Chief Electoral Officer Narayan Sawant informed that the First Level Checking(FLC) of the 2300 odd EVM, VVPAT machines from Karnataka will commence tentatively from October 26.
He further informed that their suggestions were noted down during the meeting with political parties, and solutions were also offered to their grievances.
“They have informed us that the EVM’s and VVPAT machines have reached the state, and the inspection would be conducted on October 26,” the representatives of political parties said, speaking to media.
Electronic Voting Machines(EVM) and Voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) for state assembly elections 2022 have already arrived in Goa and are being stored at Panaji (North Goa) and Margao(South Goa).
The machines will be made election ready by checking and testing them.
