PANAJI: The office of the Collector /Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority, North Goa District, has appealed to the people of State of Goa to submit application/claims for the ex-gratia assistance of Rs. 50,000/- for the deceased’s next of kin due to COVID-19.
The Collector/Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority, North Goa, has received 63 claims from the next of kin of the deceased due to COVID-19 and all the said claims have been processed and compensation amount of Rs. 50,000/- has been deposited into the respective Bank accounts of the claimants.
The Collector/Chairman of DDMA has obtained the list of beneficiaries from the Social Welfare Department who have got the ex-gratia assistance of Rs. 2 lakh to the legal heir of the deceased by COVID-19. 453 Beneficiaries from the list of Social Welfare Department have also been disbursed an amount of Rs. 50,000/- towards ex-gratia assistance to next of kin of the deceased due to COVID-19, by Collector North Goa, as per the direction of Government of Goa.
Till date, the Collector/Chairman of DDMA has processed and approved 516 cases and disbursed the total amount of Rs. 2,58,00,000/- (Rupees Two Crores Fifty Eight Lakhs) to the deceased’s next of kin due to COVID-19.
The Collector North Goa District office, Panaji, is inviting applications / claims to avail assistance under the ex-gratia to the deceased’s next of kin due to Covid-19. The general public is requested to visit the website of Collector North Goa District: northgoa.gov.in or State Portal: goaonline.gov.in and download the claim form and submit to the respective Taluka Mamlatdars office for verification.
