Mapusa: Anjuna Police Station has registered a case of alleged extortion, criminal intimidation and property damage following a complaint filed by Shri Kunal Lulla, partner of Volare Estates LLP and owner of property bearing Survey No. 119/1-A at Assagao, Bardez.
According to the complaint lodged on February 27, 2026 at 2.36 pm, the incident dates back to February 19, 2026 at around 6.50 pm, when an accused identified as Vikram, a resident of Bendwada, Sanguem, allegedly contacted the complainant on his mobile phone and illegally demanded ₹20 lakh. The accused reportedly threatened to demolish the compound wall of the property and allegedly put the complainant under fear of death if the demand was not met.
Further, on February 20, 2026 at around 9.15 am, another accused identified as Deepak and Sadiq, along with others stated to be employees of the main accused, allegedly arrived at the property and damaged the compound wall. The damage is estimated to have caused a loss of approximately ₹50,000 to the complainant.
When the complainant’s staff objected to the alleged destruction, the accused persons reportedly threatened them with dire consequences, including threats to kill.
