VERNA: A police complaint has been registered against Prasad Srikant Velip, a police constable residing in Kirlaipal-Dabal and posted at Verna Police Station, dishonestly induced him to pay ₹14 lakh.
The amount was allegedly taken under the pretext of providing a government job as an Excise Officer or in the Education Department as an LDC.
However, the accused failed to deliver the promised job or refund the money. As a result, an offense was registered under Section 420 of the IPC, and further investigation is ongoing.
