Bicholim: A long-standing family property dispute took a violent turn in Shirgao, Bicholim, after a man and his son were allegedly assaulted by their own relatives. The incident reportedly occurred on July 31, 2025, around 4:00 pm near House No. 226/1 at Madhlawada, Shirgao.
According to a complaint lodged by Shri Sandeep Kudnekar (58), a resident of the same address, with Bicholim Police on August 4 at 2:41 pm, his elder brother Santosh Kudnekar (67) and nephew Siddhesh Kudnekar (30), both residing at Cartito Town Centre, Church Wado, Bicholim, abused and assaulted him during an argument linked to their ongoing property dispute.
Siddhesh is further accused of hitting Sandeep’s son, Nivesh Kudnekar, on the head with a wooden stick (danda), causing him simple injuries. The complainant alleged that both accused threatened him with dire consequences.
Bicholim Police have registered the case and PSI Jayprakash Jankar is currently investigating the matter.
