Panaji: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Dy Chief Minister Manohar Azgaonkar, North Collector and Director of Agriculture, held a meeting with farmers at Ugvem Village Pernem.
After the inspection, the Chief Minister said those who were affected due to the Cyclone would get compensation within one month. He directed the Collector to prepare a report on losses to crops and others.
Later, the Chief Minister also visited the Mopa airport site to inspect the waterlogging of the fields. He said this Government is working to better the people and make sure people will get justice. The Government will try its best to provide the best facilities to all the people, he added.
During his visit to the Dhagarwada Casarvarnem Chief minister inaugurated a water tank that will benefit 12 families. He urged upon the people at Dhagarwada to take care of infrastructure provided by the Government.
Dy Chief Minister Shri Manohar Azgaonkar highlights government initiatives in various sectors to develop the people, and the State informed that various significant projects are coming to Pernem. Top priority will be provided to Pernem people for employment. Dy Chief Minister also appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant for his all-around efforts for the last two years to take the State forward.
